We belonged to the generation when some cars and bikes were still known as widow makers.

The Purpose of Our Garage

Our site is a shared space for people who love the motoring era that stretched roughly from the 1950s to 2000 — from road cars to rally stages, Le Mans, Indianapolis, Trans Am, great designers, legendary brands, and the drivers who made that world unforgettable. We admire a time when cars demanded skill, nerve, and feel more than software, while recognising that the world has changed for the better in matters of safety. We support free, open discussion about that culture while making sure everyone feels welcome. These guidelines protect participants and keep the conversation productive, generous, and worthy of the passion behind it.

Code of Conduct

To celebrate that era without losing our heads in it, we ask all members to observe the following rules of the road:

🤝 Respect & Civility

Keep your language polite and avoid inflammatory comments. Criticise the rust, not the mechanic! Never resort to name-calling or personal attacks against fellow enthusiasts.

🛣️ Stay on Track

Keep your posts relevant to the cars, races, designers, drivers, and culture of this era. Off-topic detours, disruptive comments, and duplicate postings clutter up the garage and may be towed away.

🛑 No Harassment

We have zero tolerance for hate speech. Discrimination, bullying, or threatening others based on identity or vulnerability will not be tolerated.

🚫 Hobby, Not a Dealership

No commercial activity allowed. Please do not promote products, services, or sales. We are a community of hobbyists sharing a passion, not a marketplace.

📸 Privacy & Originality

Never share someone else's personal information or impersonate others. Show off your own contributions and always cite your sources when sharing external content.

🔧 Constructive Wrenching

When debating, provide reasoned arguments and back your claims with credible information. Disagreement is welcome when done respectfully.

Enforcement & Pit Crew

Our moderators act as the pit crew. They may edit or remove content that violates these rules, and can suspend or remove memberships and curatorships for repeated breaches. Members who have been removed retain their RGPD right to request erasure of their personal data. If you spot a hazard on the track, please flag it rather than responding.

The Golden Rule

Don't do to others what you don't want done to you.

Treat fellow members with courtesy, keep the focus on the machines, racers, designers, memories, and stories that shaped this extraordinary era, and help keep our community a place worthy of the passion that built it.
